Summer Sirens

Up high in the trees a creature stirs up with the sound of music.
Only out during the summer months, I can't wait but I hope I'm here to listen to their musical sound they create. Oh what a wonderful tone they play, singing to their mates across the land. While being outside and to hear them play brings comfort to my mind. I want to be able to go outdoors and hear nothing but their sirens going off. Find a cicada in my tree composing their songs right next to me. Oh I can't wait til that warm season is here again.

Disfunctional Wormhole

Why can't my life progress instead of being pulled down into a dark deep hole. Every damn day life always goes down fucking hill into a wormhole that repeats itself. I'll be happy for awhile but like always I get pulled through a vast wasteland that is a remnant of life. Only pieces left of what it is I have nothing more, just pieces. Shattered remains of what I try to put back together but it's no use it never works. I wish something or someone could absorb all of my problems away and never be put back into my life. But somehow that wormhole manages to suck me through again. A never ending gravity that smashes me into a universe of hell. I try to be OK, I try to relieve my troubles but with no one there to care for me what I do? I don't know when, I don't know how, and I don't know where my life will progress through this empty wormhole once and for all.

Snow In San Antonio

SNOOOOOOOWWWWW!!!!!!!!

It finally snowed here at around 6:00am.
Snow fell for only a minute and was light but still it's snow. YAY!!! :-)
The first time in three years and before that it dates back to 1985, it's sooooo rarely awesome.

I was outside smoking a cig like always and I saw white falling into the nearby street light.
I automatically knew it was SNOW!!!

Grass is frozen stiff covered in ice and everytime I step I hear crunch, crunch, crunch.
Icicles hanging down the side of my roof with snow falling into my hair, it's so wonderful.

YYYYYYAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!

I wish you were here to witness this beautiful creation.

But it melted as soon as it hit the ground but again it still is SNOOOWWWW!!!!!!

Nocturnal Nights

This poem is one I wrote for a friend and we always smoked underneath an outside covered balcony while sitting on a leather couch in the cold as we drank coffee while wrapped in a blanket. Everytime I would shiver she would tell me to take a deep breath and hold it in then release it very slowly. She said it's a type of body relaxation technique. It's very helpful when dealing with situations or just from being cold in the outside weather. Use it in a stressful time of life it may come in handy.

One Night With A Nocturnal Friend

The cold air you breathe, is it the best you've ever felt?

Shivering in the wind,

calm down,

take a deep breath,

exhale slowly to relax the body,

drink your hot coffee,

receiving warmth to help let the throat melt.

Fire erupts lighting the balcony,

puff, puff,

taking in gas from a white cylinder,

substances flows through the veins to give her tranquility.

Wrapped in a blanket trying to keep warm together,

she lies her head on mine,

both looking upon the skyline,

sitting on one square made from leather.

Wind chill,

the shakes begin,

calm down,

take a deep breath,

hold it for a while,

now exhale slowly again.

Possessing a device that emits fire,

a green rectangular prism in your grasp,

slipping two poles out from inside,

"Want another", you ask?

Sure, why not, I might quit soon and retire.

Time elapsed without a trace,

so comfortable here feeling completely devoid,

a space to run to from my life I avoid,

now I must leave and go back to my place.

Wait, wait, lets have a big hug together,

telling one another we love one another, it'll be alright,

finally letting go we say goodbye for the night,

starting my journey back I realize, her name is Heather.

Fallen Angel

Sera enters a city that once sprung with life in every corner of every street. Never sleeping for any part of the day. Now has become a silent friend with death. Searching for subsistence in a world torn away from itself. Walking with extinction every step of her way. Staring at remnants of life humans had created for themselves to live in. Old colonies fuel fires reaching toward a black sky. She has to search not only for the survival of the human race but also for herself. To give her comfort if and when she finds one who is still themself and not one she is going to have to kill for no reason but for her own protection. Someone who has survived a bombardment of flying destruction in a shell. A creature willing to make life for the safety of it's own race.

Sera began to move with nearby warfare on the other side. Running through uncharted territory a sniper clips her shoulder from behind. Bleeding Sera ran to a nearby crevice and tore part of her shirt off to wrap around her wound. Pieces of shattered glass from an old mirror slightly cut her hand when she dove for cover. Steadily rising the glass around the corner she could see the sniper take out a family trying to escape. With the sniper occupied, an opportunity opened. Sera held her pistol with ease and took one shot. A body fell from the tower plummeting to the ground. Coming out of the hollow she rushed to the family on the ground. A father lies dead and a mother with her young child in her grasp crying. But a wound deep inside the mother's body, is bleeding endlessly slowly taking her life. The mother said, "Take my child and keep him safe." Now holding an infant in Sera's arms, she began to cry. Having no remorse to kill has become weakened. Realizing her emotions she had held down for so long that used to be a faint memory in the back of her mind. But knowing her emotions could possibly kill her if she became too weak with them. For Sera has faced emotional distress before and puts it behind her once again. But now with a responsibility to keep a young child from the hands of death.

Birds in the Morning

This morning I was smoking a cigarette on my front porch and I noticed that some birds were sticking around waiting for me to put out some bird seeds on my walkway in the front yard. After I did hundreds of sparrows came out of nowhere. It was funny watching them, first one would go down and start to eat, then five, then 15, then 50, then hundreds, and suddenly they would scare themselves and fly off back into the nearby neighbors bush and they would repeat, it's halarious and soothing simultaneously. For some reason listening to the flapping of their wings as they took off sounds nice to the ears for me. It's amazing how many started to come by. Trees, power lines, the ground, and whatever else the sparrows could find to sit on were covered with them. All I could hear was the sounds of chirping coming from every direction. I would occasionally scare them on purpose just to see how many would fly off but usually they would scare themselves off first. But they just kept on coming back for more food and devour the food in minutes. Then I would have to go inside and get some more seeds after they ate all the food so I could watch them and scare them off again.

Hehehehe........it's fun and something to do if bored and keeps my mind off troubles......... :)
