Why Do We Dream?

How does a dream work? What makes us dream besides our minds resting for the body's revival? Why is the mind dreaming? When will my next dream be, the following night? And where are these dreams coming from? Are dreams really brought to us by angels or is it that the mind is functioning to random and current thoughts? I never knew this tell someone told me 3 years ago but I'm one who usually talks in my sleep and when I spend the night at any of my friend's house they would either wake me up or always tell me in the morning that I talked in my sleep about a conversation or a certain situation and most of the time they were correct about what I dreamt. Knowing that information, it is the imagination working at it's best because the mind is able to during this time and when you're not in reality anything can be possible. I always love to dream but there will be times where I don't dream and it's been happening to me a lot lately, I wish I knew why? But I had the strangest dream in my life the other night about my friend Heather and I. From what I remember this is how it transpired.

I'm walking up my street called Garraty Road. As I was walking no cars were to be found and most houses had no rooftops, they were just bare with the wood frames left on. When I looked up into the sky the clouds moved at a velocity of approximately 500 mph as if they were in fast forward. At first the sun would be out and shine brightly on my face then it would go out with no moon in the sky neither. Not even go down or up just go out like a burnt light bulb. I was in dismay, pitchblack darkness took me by surprise to where I couldn't see anything but a few feet in front of me while the air became lightly frigid. But how can I feel temperature in a dream? While in total darkness the sun shined again and went out and came back for the final time and never went out and stayed with me. By this time I was half way to a friend's house named Scott but I knew that Scott didn't live there anymore instead a new friend I've recently met named Heather did. I remember seeing a for sale sign in the front yard but never understood why it was sold. At the time I didn't even question why or how her family bought it off Scott's family. I just knew that Heather lived there and I was on my way to see her. When I arrived at the house it was still the same old structure nothing had been changed whatsoever except for there wasn't a rooftop like all the other houses I passed by on my way. I knocked on the door and her mother answered. "Hello, who are you," she asked? "Hi, I'm Kevin a new friend of Heather's, is she here," I said? "Sure come on in she's upstairs in her room," Heather's mother said. The bottom floors were still the way they had always been til I headed upstairs. The stair case took extraordinary long to climb up and when I finally got to the top the hallways have been extended, the door jambs were taller and the rooms were about a dimension of 100 x 100 feet. Reaching her room she was sitting there on her bed typing on a labtop and when I looked up at the ceiling I could see the clouds moving with speed. When Heather saw me walk in the room she got up with a surprised look and said, "HI, KEVIN!" in such a loud voice that it echoed throughout the house. Then when she came up to me to give me a hug, it was like a teleportation but not, more like a quick transition. No flash or anything just suddenly somewhere else but I was always with Heather.

When I was transmissioned, I was driving an old Land Rover through a lush rainforest and everything was how it was in normal reality but I was wearing an Air Force uniform with Heather in the front passenger seat dressed in a white doctor's suit and she was working for the government. Heather told me, "We need to get to the nearby village as soon as possible, there's a disease spreading to the tribes I need to make sure it's not a virus that can spread and destroy the human race. One of the exploring doctors there reported something that he has never seen before and my superior ordered me to check it out." "We'll be there in 10 minutes but I have a question where are we," I responded. "We're in New Zealand," Heather said. "Huh, how did I get here, I said to myself? After a while we came to the nearby village. Heather quickly got out and strapped herself into a biohazard suit with a suitcase full of medical supplies, vials and syringes. After she did some tests, looked at the scars on the tribes skin, and ran some blood tests to the ones who were fatally ill, she finally finished and discovered that it was a newly formed type of Malaria. "I need to report back to my department, Kevin can you hand me the radio," Heather asked? I gave her the radio and I headed back into the cabin. While inside I started to hear loud calls from birds, when I came out suddenly thousands of them were flying in the sky above.

When one of the birds swept down at me I hit the ground and covered my face. When I looked up I noticed that I was in Germany and Heather was still by my side. When I analyzed what was going on we were on a balcony and people down below were shouting at us in German with riot police holding them back with their plexy-glass shields. A Commanding Chief next to us said, "The German people believe that you two killed our leader but don't worry we have the evidence that proves your innocence, you were framed." He then called for back up to help us get away from the situation and not be killed. When the back up arrived Heather and I followed them to a armored car. When we got inside the Chief told us to stay in a protected hotel suite for the next week until the trial took place and everything calmed down. At the time, me nor Heather didn't asked any questions of what was going on. When I looked over at Heather I could see in her eyes that she was afraid as she watched the people riot over what they thought we did to their leader. While being driven on the road the driver made a sudden stop. I was pulled by the inertia and hit the ground of my front yard.

When I stood up I could see my mother watering her plants with the sun out and she said, "Watch for the cats they like to rub against your legs and accidentally trip you." I didn't say anything and realized that everything was exactly the way it is in real life and I thought "What just happened? Was I just with Heather in all those situations but it can't be she's in Dallas?" Then I woke up and realized it was all a dream. Then I smoked a cigarette, and remembered everything I just dreamt about. I could have sworn that it was reality and not just a dream.

So, I have this main question to ask and anyone please give me an answer to this question: Is there always a message to be taught from a dream?
